In this era of being green and saving money, recycling is in fashion. But the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner, Washington, has taken this concept to new heights.
“Finds Refined,” an exhibition running from March 14 to June 14, 2009, is a 15-artist show featuring works made up either in whole or in part by found objects–trash.
Some examples of the pieces on display and what’s in them:

Bracket, by Jason Mouer

“Finds Refined” is part of a recycled art exposition that also features “Haute Trash” fashion shows in Seattle and Burlington. This is the eighth year that The RE Store, a local used-building-supply store, has sponsored the event, and the first time MoNA has participated.

Incorporated in 1998, the Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the world’s largest and most famous police force, the New York City Police Department. Definitely worth a visit!
